On-device preferences. To make the site more useful on return visits, we store your preferences (such as services and industries you viewed) in your browser’s local storage. This data stays on your device, is never sent to us or to third parties, and you can clear it at any time from your browser settings.
This page explains, in plain terms, what information Press and Play collects and how it is used. The short version: I only ever see what you choose to send me, and I use it only to help your business.
Personal information here is handled in line with the Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA), S.C. 2000, c. 5, and marketing messages follow Canada’s Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL), S.C. 2010, c. 23: consent first, and an unsubscribe option in every message.
What I collect
When you fill in a form on this site, I receive what you type, your name, your business, your email and phone, and whatever you tell me about your project. That is all. The site does not follow you around the web or build a profile on you.
How I use it
Only to reply to you, prepare your quote or plan, and carry out the work you have asked for. Nothing else.
Who handles it
Form submissions are delivered to me through Web3Forms, a form-handling service, and arrive in my email inbox. I never sell your information, and I never hand it to advertisers.
Your choices
You can email me at any time to see what I hold, correct it, or have it deleted. It is your information.
Cookies and analytics
The site uses a small number of strictly necessary cookies: they run the site, remember your cookie choices, and let Stripe protect card payments from fraud on the checkout page. Everything else, preferences (small conveniences like your billing view), analytics (aggregate usage stats) and marketing, is off by default and only runs if you switch it on. Today the site sets no analytics or advertising cookies at all; the categories exist so nothing can ever be added without your say-so.
You choose in the cookie banner when you first visit, and you can change your mind any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer of every page. Your choice is stored for 180 days in a first-party cookie, and the site honours the Global Privacy Control signal from your browser. This site does not run advertising trackers, and it does not sell or share your browsing with advertisers.
How long I keep it
I keep what you send only as long as it is needed to run your project and my business records, and I remove it on request where I am not required by law to keep it.
Accessibility
If you need this information in another format, or any part of this site is hard for you to use, see the accessibility statement or contact me directly; I will provide it another way.
Questions
Email Valentin directly at hello@pressandplay.ca and I will answer.
Community
Press and Play did not get started on its own. With thanks to the people and organisations in the community who gave their support along the way:
